Welcome

Welcome to Big Circumstance. Why the name? It's the title of a Bruce Cockburn CD from 1989, but this is not a Bruce Cockburn fan site, much as I love his music. Rather, it's taking the way he uses those words. 'Big Circumstance' occurs in a song entitled 'Shipwrecked at the stable door' where it seems to denote the God's benevolent guidance of our lives, and so this blog from my point of view has God lurking either in the foreground or the background. It's not all religious stuff, and you're very welcome here whether you share my faith or not. Even if we disagree profoundly, I'll do my best to show respect to your deeply-cherished views.
