The Election Result

So Blair is back, with a similar majority to that which undid John Major in the post-1992 Parliament. He says that during the campaign he has listened to and learned from the public. Does that mean the focus groups didn't work, Tony?

Less cynically, I hope it does mean he'll cultivate more of a servant attitude as Prime Minister than has hitherto been apparent. See my newspaper column of last week for more thoughts on that.
